Organized by Sugar Mediaz as part of the main festival, this competition invites participants proficient in various Indian languages to showcase their voice acting skills.
Finalists typically get the chance to audition in studios located in major cities, with winners receiving exciting opportunities such as paid projects with leading studios and valuable mentoring sessions to kickstart their careers in the voice industry.
It stands as one of India’s largest contests dedicated purely to discovering and nurturing new voice acting talent.

The Voice Talent Hunt 2025 is organized by Sugar Mediaz Private Limited as a flagship initiative under India Voice Fest—India’s only conference and awards platform dedicated exclusively to the craft and business of voice acting.
Participation Guidelines

Participation is free of cost and voluntary.
-
Open to Indian citizens aged 16 and above.
-
The competition is open across 9 Indian languages:
-
Hindi, English, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali.

Entry to the contest does not require purchase of a delegate pass for India Voice Fest.

Format & Rounds
-
The 2025 edition will follow a reality show-style hybrid format:
Round 1 – Video Audition (Online)
-
Participants must submit a 60-second unedited on-camera performance.
-
No effects, dubbing, logos, or overlays allowed.
- Participant can perform in any ONE language.
- Participant can perform in any GENRE of voice acting including, voiceover, character voice acting, documentary style narration.

Face of the participant must be clearly visible.
🟣 Round 2 – In-Studio Auditions (City-wise)
Shortlisted participants will attend in-person studio auditions in their regional language city:

Mumbai – Hindi, English, Marathi

Bengaluru – Kannada

Kochi – Malayalam

Kolkata – Bengali

Ahmedabad/Surat – Gujarati

Mentorship & Team Phase
-

Selected participants from Round 2 will be grouped into teams led by top mentors as per each language/city.

Mentorship will span 6 weeks, with each team trained under a renowned voice director or artiste in the respecvtive city in-studio. No online mentoring option.

One or more finalist per language will be selected as the winner based on their assessment during the mentoring phase.

Final Performances (Recorded in Studio)

Final performances will be shot on video in studio during the last week of mentorship.

Each final video capsule will include the final act, mentor commentary, and a short journey recap.
- The final capsule will be played out during the grand finale of India Voice Fest 2025.
Grand Finale in Mumbai

AV capsules of each language finalist’s performance will be screened during the event in Mumbai

Winners will be revealed live on stage (in-person or virtually).

Prizes & recognition

- A mementoe and felicitation along with a gift hamper from India Voice Fest
- A paid voice acting project with the mentor’s studio
- A mentorship certificate
- Participation does not guarantee future work, though the platform aims to enable industry entry for deserving talent.

Travel & Accomodation Logistics

All travel, lodging, and incidental expenses for studio auditions and the finale must be borne by the participants.

The organizers will not be responsible for costs related to travel, rescheduling, or personal losses.

The shortlisted candidates must attend the in-studio audition at the communicated time and venue. No alternative slots will be provided.

Participants are expected to maintain professional behavior throughout. Any breach of conduct may lead to disqualification.
